Chris woke up the next morning, unknowing that I was pregnant. I was scared to tell him because we'd never talked about it. I decided to stay quiet until the time was right to let him know.
For some reason, Chris ate nothing but wedding cake for breakfast everyday after our wedding, but it was alright with me. I wasn't the best cook in the world. Maybe one day I'd try to have something done when he got home.
Chris headed off to work just as a I woke up. What would I name my baby? Would it be a boy or a girl? I don't think I'm ready for a child...
I had to fix up the house while he was out. Since I didn't have a job, this became my profession. Once the washing machine was fixed, I went to get something to eat.
Suddenly I changed into my maternity clothes, which I can say weren't up to par. Who's idea was it to wear exercise clothing for maternity wear? Anywho, I ate, finished the house, and read my book before Chris got off work.
I asked Chris if he'd go to the store to pick me up some more books. I needed to learn some new recipes but I couldn't drive down there since my license was suspended due to... a party. I'll just say that.
He picked up some romance novels, suspense novels, and a couple of cookbooks for me. I couldn't have been happier!
While he was out, I asked him to pick me up some groceries. I wanted to start my own garden so I wasn't completely useless. I would eventually go down to the market and sell my crops, so it was a good plan in my opinion.
I spent the entire day watching old movies. Casablanca, Pillow Talk, etc. I tried to stay off my feet the entire day.
That was easier said than done, considering how fast everything broke in this house. I had to repair the shower once, and then fix the sink. It was very tiresome.
As well as that, I had to do laundry and make dinner. Never again will I make fun of the housewives across the world...
Aside from normal chores, I decided to feed Fishie. We did change her name. She was now Pam the Rainbow Trout.
Finally having time to myself, I read a few chapters of the vampire series I was obsessed with.
Chris headed out to go fishing to relieve some stress. I took this as my opportunity to make some progress with my cooking.
I made my mom's world famous Mac 'N Cheese. Everything was homemade, none of the Kraft crap.
And for some reason, I failed. There was something sticky on the bottom of the pot, so I had to rewash it and start over. Eventually though, we had a nice dinner. Over the meal, I told Chris I was pregnant and he was ecstatic!
And a good night's sleep.
I sat in the mirror admiring my tummy the next morning. It was the size of the a watermelon! I was so excited to have my baby!
Until I started having it! It hurt like heck, and Chris was at work. I called a cab so I could go to the hospital.
Chris ran inside as well, getting off work early to be with me. After hours of pain and exhaustion, I gave birth to my beautiful baby.
We welcomed Lorena to the family. She was so adorable. I just wanted to squeeze her cheeks, but I didn't want her to start sobbing, so I decided against it.
When we got home, I fed Lorena gently. I didn't know WHAT I fed her, just that she ate it up. Maybe it was baby crack. Eventually I realized that we didn't have any room for our new baby.
We remodeled the house (with our amazing strength and skill) and this is what we ended with. It was kind of empty, but hopefully by the time Lorena reached Toddlerhood Chris and I could afford more toys for her. It would be tough, but with Chris getting a promotion and me gardening, I think we could pull it off.
I put Lorena to bed that night, heading off to start my "business".
With the groceries Chris bought me a few days ago, I planted seeds, hoping for a successful and wonderful garden that would help us financially.
Chris and I ate well that night, since he was the one to cook. I never really knew how good of a cook he was. His pancakes and waffles were subpar, but still.
That night, Chris and I had a little time to ourself, so what did we do? Naturally, we fu-
just kidding! Hehe. But yeah. We did woohoo.
Lorena woke up crying sometime during the night, so I ran in to check on her. Poor baby was hungry and had peed in her pants! I fixed her up and headed off to bed.
Less than two hours later, I had to puke. This could only mean one thing...
Early that morning, before Lorena woke, I tended to my garden.
When she started crying again, I played with her for a while. She even watched TV with me on the couch. Mommy and daughter time over General Hospital and Days of Our Lives. Awh.
Then I puked again. SO not Awh-worthy. The bad thing was, I puked while making dinner.
Thank God the house didn't burn down! I left the pot on the stove while I vomited, and when I remembered my food, I quickly ran back to finish it. After that, I went to bed with Chris, until I woke up in the middle of the night.
I changed into my pregnant sleepwear, which was... weird. If it hadn't been for the white between my legs, I'd have thought I was going around bottomless!
See what I mean?
I continued gardening my little sweets, hoping they'd grow up to be big and strong, just like Lorena.
Later in the day, Chris got off work. I checked my calendar when he told me, and surprisingly it was Lorena's birthday! We had to have a party. Chris called and invited a few select friends as I made the cake.
Alexis congratulated me on my pregnancy with my second child, which I thought was really kind. She also informed me that she had joined the Medical field. She got an offer to switch jobs and work as a nurse.
Lorena was growing up! Too bad no one was paying attention to the birthday girl. Alexis read her book, Iqbal watched television, and that girl in the back, who wasn't INVITED, might I add, didn't pay any attention either. I was stupid! I didn't invite them for free cake!
Lorena aged into a gorgeous little toddler. Well, I had to change her style some, because Mommy hated that shirt, but still.
Awh. <3
My "guests" ate my cake, told me my party was lame, then left. They were NEVER coming to a birthday party hosted by me again.
Eventually we got all of the plates cleaned, trash picked up, and chairs pushed in. Chris put Lorena to bed, and we both headed to bed. I had a feeling once the other baby arrived, we'd be in for a heckuva lot more stress. I'd totally be worth it though...

I can't believe how rude some party guests are... Eat and run, is that the way of it now?? Jeez. xP
